Soho to Brooklyn - NYC style shoot

I am drawn to all things ethereal which usually involves some form of nature, so it was such a buzz to explore this aesthetic in one of the most recognisable urban landscapes in the world, New York City.

I had dreams of doing a shoot on the busy roads of manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge but I didnโ€™t think it would be possible mainly due to the enormous amount of people in these areas. It may have been a standard day in the life of a NYC photographer but I am a lot more used to battling the elements on top of a mountain or avoiding insects, cows etc in a forest or paddock. Enter the incredible model Anastasia, she couldnโ€™t have been more liberated in these settings. It was so inspiring to watch as she confidently danced in the middle of broadway and politely posed for selfies with tourist on Brooklyn bridge, all without missing a beat. So thanks to Anastasia and the incredible A list team, we did it!  I felt so privileged to work with makeup artist Dunia Ghabour, such a world class talent and i am in awe of her work, oh and of course always great to work with my Aussie pals Heavenly Blooms and Suzanne Harward.
